Alexandria Crichlow is a Bajan–African American soprano known for her captivating stage presence and velvety timbre. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Morgan State University and a Master of Music in Opera Performance from the Mannes School of Music.

Alexandria made a memorable impression as Maria in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s production of Porgy and Bess under Marin Alsop, which led to her return to the role in the Philadelphia Orchestra’s 2020 live CD recording of Porgy and Bess Highlights at the renowned Kimmel Center, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

She is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Michael Sisca Award, the Marian Marcus Wahl Memorial Award, First Prize in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (Maryland District) Competition, and the Marian Anderson Vocal Competition through the Maryland Chapter of the National Association of Negro Musicians.

Her operatic and oratorio repertoire includes Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, the title role in Suor Angelica with Mannes Opera, Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) and Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica) with Berlin Opera Academy's Opernfest in Switzerland, and La Zelatrice (Suor Angelica) at the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy. She also portrayed Alice Ruth Moore in Lyrics of Sunshine and Shadows with the Morgan State University Opera Workshop, and was a featured soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the DC Strings Workshop.

Internationally, Alexandria has performed in Germany and the Czech Republic, making her debut with Opernfest Berlin and Opernfest Prague. As a Gerdine Young Artist with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, she appeared in their 2023–2024 season in Così fan tutte, Tosca, Susannah, and Treemonisha.

Most recently, Alexandria made her Washington National Opera debut during the company’s 2025–2026 season, marking another significant milestone in her flourishing career.
